Incamedia has completed the specification, design and procurement for one of the largest single-development open-access fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) residential networks in Europe.
The network will provide around 8,000 subscribers with Broadband, Voice (VOIP), Broadcast TV and Video-on-Demand (VOD) services.
Residents are assured of high-speed (up to 100Mbps) broadband services from a range of competitive providers. And, as an added bonus, they don't need to install TV dishes and aerials - just move in and plug in!
Case Study – Cape Verde Resort Complex
Design strategy, specification and procurement of integrated entertainment and communications network for new 5-star resort complex.
Comprising an optical fibre data highway, the system will deliver TV, broadband and interactive services to over 1,000 hotel guests and villa owners.
The network integrates guest room entertainment systems (video-on-demand, satellite TV, gaming) with resort management (billing, concierge, door entry), safety (fire, CCTV, intrusion), public area Wi-Fi, plus operational data requirements.
Case Study – Fibre IRS Networks
Many new residential communities are providing TV via a communal system, either because digital reception is inadequate or to avoid aerials and dishes for aesthetic reasons.
With the advent of affordable fibre optic technologies distance from mast to receiver is no longer an issue and it is possible to connect many thousands of homes from a single antenna set.
It is also possible to use the TV network to carry services such as fast broadband, video-on-demand and CCTV and Incamedia can advise on business models which allow developers to benefit from future subscriber revenues.
